Case 03

An idea became 100,000+ products.

Some firms arrive after the product exists. We were involved a long way before that.

The opportunity

An observation about what buyers in a category kept complaining about, and no product on the shelf answering it.

The challenge

Marketing cannot fix a product that is slightly wrong for the buyer it is aimed at. Every decision made before manufacturing sets the ceiling on what any campaign can later achieve.

The insight

The biggest marketing decision on a physical product happens at the factory, not on the ad account. Get the format, the price point and the shelf promise right and acquisition becomes arithmetic. Get them wrong and no budget recovers it.

The strategy

Work the concept and the go-to-market plan as one decision. Specify the product around the promise it would need to make, not the other way round. Build positioning and listing strategy before tooling. Plan the marketplace launch as the primary channel rather than an afterthought.

The execution

Concept development and product specification. Production support through manufacturing. Packaging and positioning built to sell in a scroll rather than in the hand. Listing strategy, launch sequencing and ongoing marketplace marketing.

The outcome

The idea grew into more than 100,000 units sold through Amazon.

  • The offer is a product decision long before it is a marketing decision.

  • Packaging is the advertisement people actually see at the moment of purchase.

  • On a marketplace you are not competing on quality. You are competing on the first three seconds.
